     I have never been a very skilled baker, unless you count Betty Crocker box mixes. I've tried baking cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and, yes, pies from scratch, but I've never had much success. The most difficult challenge I've encountered is baking a good pie crust. Every Thanksgiving, my mom and I would try our best to bake a good crust, but, inevitably we always found them to be missing something. 

     So, you can imagine my excitement when I was hired to work here at Pie Bar. Finally, I could learn the secrets to a buttery, flaky pie crust! And now, so can you!

     This summer we are introducing our Pie Crust Classes, hosted at our very own Woodstock shop. In just an hour and a half you will learn all the tips and tricks to the best crust from Pie Bar's owner and original baker, Lauren Bolden! These classes are smaller and more intimate than our others, holding only 8 students per class, and will focus on our 5 Steps to Flaky Pie Crust. By the end, you will leave with a ready-to-bake crust, 2 extra dough disks for at-home baking, and all the confidence needed to bake the best pies all on your own!
