June in Marietta

Do you love quilts as I do? They're my favorite kind of blanket! They're so warm and made with love. Luckily, this year's Georgia Celebrates Quilts Show will be held at the Cobb County Civic Center. There are fun raffles and vendors that can show you the artistry of quilts! You can enter your own quilt into a contest judged by professional judges and possibly when a prize. If you are an expert quilter, this will be perfect for you! They have a few activities as well, including an experience where kids K-12 get to make a quilt patch on their own. There's even a person there for quilt appraisals, so you can find out how much your quilt is worth! The admission is only $10, and I'm definitely going, so I hope you check it out, too!

At the Marietta History Center, the city is hosting a series of Pop-Ins, where families can go and experience various activities to learn about different themes for each month. This month is Cultures of Cobb, which explores the various cultures and histories of Cobb County! It is held from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm - the perfect time for kids! You can hit the museum, stop for pie here at Pie Bar, then head on home for nap time for everybody!

The Artisan and Farmer's Markets are held every weekend year-round, rain or shine! The Farmer's Market pops up from 9 am to 12 pm every Saturday, followed by the Artisan Market from 9 am to 2 pm. The Farmer's Market offers fresh produce, greens, and homemade treats to try out yourself in the morning. The Artisan Market presents multiple vendors who make handcrafted art and decor. I also plan on checking this out soon, so head on by and get some fresh produce and some fancy art to hang on your walls!

Marietta has many things to offer this June, so swing by the Square to check 'em out! If you're nearby, take a sneak-peek at the new pie for our Inspired Pie series for June, and possibly get a stamp on your passport!
