It's that time of the year again, where we all get together and celebrate our independence! July 4th marks the day we gained independence as a nation, truly a momentous day like today calls for some extra special treats and activities! So allow me to tell you some fun and great ways to enjoy this Independence day, of course, I will make sure to mention some great treats as well!
To start with whenever I think of the 4th of July, one of the first things I think about is the outdoors and grilling. So here are three great local parks that would be a blast to take the family to!
Woofstock Dog Park!
We of course cannot forget the four-legged members of the family, and Woofstock is the place to be! This spacious park is an amazing place to take man's best friend, letting them enjoy the outdoors and play with their fluffy friends. Plus it is a great place to have the kids or even feel like a kid, as you run and play with your pup! And to top it all off, it is right here in downtown Woodstock!
Just off of Armored Mill is going to be this amazing park, which has a little bit of everything for everyone! From a great playground that is perfect for kids to run and play in, to a wide array of sports facilities that are all perfect for those who love to move and work out! This park even has all kinds of great picnic areas for those who want to take it easy! And be sure to keep an eye towards the lake, for you might just see a cute little duck move on through!
Of course, we cannot forget this terrific park, found right in the heart of Marietta Square! With a gorgeous gazebo and fountain, this place is perfect for all kinds of photos. Plus with all kinds of benches around the area, you can kick back and relax as your kids enjoy the playground and play to their heart's content! Of course, you also have access to all the great shops and restaurants found in downtown Marietta! You can even swing by a certain pie shop, but you didn't hear that from me!
Of course just as the grilling of the food is so important, so too is the dessert! Well my friend you are in luck, as we got all kinds of great treats for you! Personally, for me, the pie that screams the 4th of July to me is our Blueberry Crumble Pie! This amazing pie warmed up with a scoop of ice practically screams the 4th of July, which is why I for one will be making sure to get one for the family! But of course, I cannot forget the Apple Streusel Pie, without a doubt the most American pie around! If you need the perfect pie for the 4th of July, this pie and some ice cream will truly bring your 4th of July celebration all together!
