Warmer weather means more events! April 24th will host Taste of Marietta in the Square. Some of our neighbors this year are participating, like Red Hare (Spring Break pie was fantastic by the way!) and Two Birds Taphouse.
Taste of Marietta is the biggest food event in the Metro Atlanta area. It hosts over 40 establishments, both restaurants, and trucks alike. Some of these establishments are popular small businesses in the Square, like Lolita's Parlour, Tiny Bubbles, and Neighborhood Cuisine and Provisions. Other establishments are bigger names, like Zaxby's, Pelican's Snoballs, and Bruster's Ice Cream. No matter what you try at the festival, it'll all be delicious and fun!
And the fun isn't limited to just food, there will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family! There will be live musical performances on the center stage throughout the festival, including acts by Sarah Nova Band, Better by Daylight, and Chip McGuire Band. In addition to musical entertainment, there will be an exciting food judging competition. If you're looking for some fun for the kids, head to Kid's Alley! An entire area of the festival dedicated to kids, Kid's Alley will have games, face painting, sand art, and moonwalks.
Every year at Taste of Marietta, awards are given to establishments for various accomplishments. Examples of past awards have been The Big Chicken (best landmark chicken dish) and Dangerously Delicious Dessert (pretty much explains itself). Although Pie Bar is not participating this year, we hope to see some of our closest neighbors win some fun awards!
Fear not, the Pie bar will be open for extended hours, 11 am-7 pm, giving us more time to enjoy all of the amazing booths and people! Taste of Marietta is definitely a memorable and yummy event.
