If you aren't quite a Frequent Pie-er just yet (and don't worry, you'll become one soon), you may not know that every few months, we rotate our flavors. We have some flavors that sell like hotcakes (or rather, hot pies?) all-year round like Apple Streusel and Bourbon Chocolate Pecan, and so we keep them in our case every dang day.
That said, we also carry seasonal flavors that rotate depending on what ingredients are available locally, and most importantly, with the heart (and tummy) are craving that season.
If you haven't tried our Blueberry Buttermilk Pie and Lemon Bar Pie yet - these two flavors are on our current Spring Menu, but will rotate out at the end of May!
Blueberry Buttermilk is like a blueberry muffin, but in pie form - with a sweet vanilla custard filling and locally grown Georgia blueberries throughout from Bynes Blueberry Farm.
Lemon Bar is...well, like a lemon bar but in pie form! Formally known as Lemon Chess Pie, it has a similar vanilla custard filling, but with freshly zested and juiced lemons making it the perf combo of sweet 'n' tart!
Pro-tip: Both of these flavors do freeze, so if you are their #1 fan, you can stock your freezer, thaw in your fridge the day before, and re-crisp at 350 F for just 10 - 15 min to enjoy them once more!
But enough chitter chatter about what flavors we'll be losing...what flavors are we GAINING this summer?!
Rustic Peach Crumble Pie
Fresh Georgia Peaches, All Butter Pie Crust,
Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Crumble.
Y'all -- let me just say that this is my personal all-time fav. Nothing is better than fresh Georgia peaches from Dicky Farms topped with that cinnamon crumble topping. Aaaaand a bonus is that you can also enjoy it "all the way" with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream locally handcrafted by Butter & Cream in Decatur, GA.
I promise I only drooled a teensy bit while writing this.
Organic, Georgia Grown blueberries in an all-butter crust.
Topped with an oat crumble.
Once again -- holy heck do we love our crumble toppings. If you loved our Blueberry Buttermilk Pie this past spring, you'll love this one. We use the same locally grown Georgia blueberries from Bynes Blueberry Farm, but instead this pie has a blueberry compote filling (aka -- more blueberries for all you blueberry lovers). It is our take on a traditional blueberry pie, and perfect for the hot, summer months to come.
Graham Cracker Crust, Sweet & Tart Filling, Lightly Sweetened Whipped Cream
You're probably wondering where a random third flavor came from? Well, it didn't! We carry this flavor in the Spring AND Summer time because it's just so dang refreshing and just screams "vacation" in a pie crust.
