People Behind the Pie: Kay Christopherson

People Behind the Pie: Kay Christopherson

Hello Frequent Pier-ers! This is Madison from Pie Bar Woodstock! Today I'm super excited to introduce you all to one of our incredible Front of House team members here at Woodstock, Kay Christopherson!

Kay is an exceptional member of our team and anyone who's had the pleasure of meeting her knows what an absolute joy she is to be around. So, without further ado, let's meet Kay!

MJ: So, Kay, what brought you to Pie Bar?

KC: Well, I came into the shop one day and just really liked the vibe. Everyone was super nice and it seemed like a fun place to work.

MJ: And how long have you been with us now?

KC: Since the end of May, I believe.

MJ: What sort of activities do you enjoy doing in your free time?

KC: I like writing, painting, drawing, making collages and listening to weirdly specific Spotify playlists. Oh! And watching movies!

MJ: That's awesome! What's your favorite movie?

KC: I think it would have to be a three way tie between "Inside Llewyn Davis", "When Harry Met Sally", and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi".

MJ: Do you know what job you'd like to have in the future?

KC: I'd like to become a screenwriter for either TV or film.

MJ: That sounds so cool!

MJ: Where do you think you'll be or what do you hope you'll be doing in five years?

KC: Hopefully graduating college. I'm planning on starting this fall, so I hope that in five years I'll be finishing up and be moving on to the next exciting thing!

MJ: What's an interesting fact you think everyone should know about you?

KC: An interesting fact? Probably that I believe in ghosts.

MJ: Ooo! You'll have to tell me some of your best ghost stories sometime!

MJ: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

KC: I've always wanted to live in the UK, specifically London, for maybe a year or so. I think it would be really fun to experience the culture and I've got some friends who live over there, so it would be nice to get to visit them.

MJ: What flavor of pie would you want to see as a Vault Release?

KC: I know we've already done it, but the S'mores Pie! I just made one recently, so I've been kind of craving it since.

MJ: That's a good one! Definitely a fan favorite for a reason!

MJ: What's your favorite part about working at Pie Bar?

KC: I like that the whole team is super friendly and supportive. It makes for a really fun work environment.

MJ: And to close out our interview, what are you most excited for in 2022?

KC: Probably starting school and learning how to drive.
