Four Leaf Clover

Get'cha Green On

Top of the morning to you! We here in Downtown Woodstock love any opportunity to celebrate. Throughout the year there are so many events hosted all over the downtown area. From an invasion of scarecrows for Halloween to summers full of music with their concert series, there is always something going on.

One of the most popular events hosted down here is the Visit Woodstock Pub Crawl series. This series involves local businesses offering special food and drink menus for certain holidays and events. There are also raffles to win gift cards from different bars and restaurants as well as a grand prize full of some awesome downtown swag!

Sound like fun? Well, the good news is you don't have to wait long for the next one!

On Saturday, March 12th, Downtown Woodstock will be hosting their annual "Shamrock Pub Crawl" in celebration of Saint Patrick's Day! From 2pm to 6pm you can wander the streets of downtown, grabbing some grub inspired by emerald isle and peeking into shops as you go. You'll want to make sure you're decked out in all things green to keep yourself from being pinched by those pesky little leprechauns, bring along your four-leaf-clover, lucky horseshoe, or rabbit's foot, raise a toast and say "sláinte" (A common Irish phrase used as a drinking toast, pronounced "slawn-che", and meaning "health".)

So, how do you join in on the fun? Well, upon entering your first participating restaurant, you can pick up an event entry form. As you wine and dine around downtown, you'll receive stamps from each location you visit, and, once you earned five stamps, you can turn your form into any restaurant taking part in the crawl for a chance to win a plethora of prizes. Make sure to keep a close eye on Visit Woodstock GA's socials to see if the luck of the Irish is on your side!

These pub crawls are always a ton of fun! They're a great way to explore downtown and check out locations you may have never thought to before. There's always great food and drinks as well as music (both live and over the radio) which make for a lively energy all over town. Who knows, perhaps you'll find yourself caught up in a traditional Irish jig! All in all, it's a great way to get out of your house for a few hours and really immerse yourself in downtown life.
