Please tell me you have every Thursday from 9pm - 9:30pm blocked off on your calendar as "don't talk to me, I am watching my show" time. No? Well, you should, and let me explain why.
Thursday, July 20th marked the premier of HGTV's newest and coolest home renovation show (facts not verified...but trust me, it's definitely the coolest) -- Flip or Flop: Atlanta! The two cuties above are Ken and Anita Corsini (who call Woodstock home!!) and they are the starrzzz of the show. If you are unfamiliar with the premise of the Flip or Flop show, then let me explain..they take an ugly home (flop) and make it super cool and sell it for a profit (flip). Ta-Da!
For the premier, Elm Street Cultural Arts Village planned and executed (to perfection, might I add) a Block Party in honor of the show's premier! There was pie (Pie Bar pie, of course), beer (Reformation, fo' sho), food trucks, and an awesome band in honor of the Corsini's and their new show! The community came together to celebrate a hometown couple and their amazing success.
At the end of the party, we all had an opportunity to screen the show, and now I am addicted. Each time there was a glimpse of Woodstock or the show came back from commercial, everyone cheered in celebration of their community and friends being highlighted.
How lucky are we to call a place like Woodstock home?
(pppsstt... Very. We are very lucky).
