Christmas PIE is Here!

Christmas PIE is Here!

Ho, Ho, Ho my fellow Pie Enthusiasts!

Christmas at Pie Bar has become such a fun tradition! We love having the opportunity to serve your family pie once again, especially at such special time of year!

Our Christmas wish this year is simple -- kick the Christmas Cookie to the curb, and serve Christmas Pie instead. We want Christmas Pie to be at the top of your list. We even heard that Santa is “so over cookies” and would prefer a nice slice of pie instead. And for those of you that consider yourself traditionalists..we are adding our Spiced Oatmeal Cookie Pie to the Christmas menu, so you're getting the best of both worlds!

Since the Q&A format was such a hit last time (Thanksgiving: A Love Letter), I thought it would be prudent to continue that tradition. Read on, my little snow angels, for all of your Christmas Pie Questions will be answered.

The following bits of information pertain to the two weeks surrounding Christmas 2018:
Sunday, December 16th –Thursday, December 27th

1. When Do I Order My Christmas Pies?
We will begin accepting orders for Christmas on Saturday, December 1st at 10am.

2. How Do I Order My Christmas Pies?
The ONLY way we will be accepting orders is ONLINE at orderpiebar.com.

All pies must be ordered online and pre-paid.

3. How Long Do I Have Left to Order Pies for Christmas?
The last day you can pre-order a pie is Sunday, December 16th by 9pm.

We will STOP accepting orders on Sunday, December 16th at 9:01pm.

4. Do I Pay for My Pies When I Order Them?
Yes. All pies must be ordered online and pre-paid.

5. Should I Order a Pie Ahead of Time or Just Walk-In and Pick One Up?
We strongly encourage you pre-order your pie.

The last day you can pre-order a Christmas pie is Sunday, December 16th by 9pm.

The few extra pies we will bake for walk-ins will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations or call-ins allowed on walk-in pies.

6. When do I Pick Up My Pies?
If you pre-ordered your pies, please make sure you pick-up your pies during the correct time, on the correct day. You will choose the time and day when you order your pie online. Your options for pick up will be:

  • Friday, December 21st: Early Shift: 11am - 3pm OR Evening Shift: 3pm - 7pm
  • Saturday, December 22nd: Early Shift: 11am - 3pm OR Evening Shift: 3pm - 7pm
  • Sunday, December 23rd: ONLY SHIFT: Noon - 5pm

If you come during the incorrect shift, you are risking your pie not being available/ready for pick-up.

If you do not show up at all, you will not receive a replacement pie or a refund.

If you decide to not pre-order a pie, we do bake a limited number of "Walk In" Pies. These are first-come, first-serve, and we sell out quickly.

7. Let’s Talk Hours, Shall We?

  • Sunday, December 16th - December 22nd: Normal Hours with Slices & Whole Pies
  • Sunday, December 23rd: 12pm - 5pm: WHOLE PIES ONLY
  • Monday, December 24th - Wednesday, December 26th: CLOSED
  • Thursday, December 27th: OPEN Normal Hours!

8. Let’s Talk about Pot Pies, K?
We will be working hard over the next few weeks to stock up on Frozen Pot Pie for you. However, it is not a guarantee that we will have them the week of Christmas, so if you are interested in serving Pot Pie during Christmas week, pick up a Pot Pie earlier in the month of December to keep in your freezer at home.

Note: Frozen Pot Pies are good for 3+ Months in your freezer at home.

9. Let’s Talk about Quiche, Please?
We will be working hard over the next few weeks to stock up on Frozen Quiche for you. 10. Let’s Talk about Slices, Yes?
There will be slices available (like normal) on the 16th - 20th. HOWEVER, there will be NO PIE BY THE SLICE starting on Friday, December 21st. What does this mean? We will sell WHOLE PIES ONLY starting on Friday, December 21st - Sunday, December 23rd.This includes no sampler pies and “Half & Half” pies. We need the storage, oven time, and labor focused on your Christmas orders.

11. What is Window Service?
With our limited square footage, we need all the space we can get. This means the retail portion of our store will be closed during pie pick-ups on Friday, December 21st - Sunday, December 23rd.

We will have two walk-up windows available for you to be assisted by our staff. One window will be for pre-orders and one window will be for walk-ins. Both windows will be labeled clearly, so no worries!

12. What Pie Flavors are Available to Order?
Being a small shop means we have to limit what we can offer in order to provide as many pies to as many people as possible. If you are interested in ordering a pie that is NOT on this menu, we suggest you pre-purchase your favorite Pie Bar pie and freeze it for the big day. We are happy to provide freezing instructions.
