August is here! Summer is going by quickly, but there is still so much fun left to be had in Marietta and it looks like plenty more warm weather to come!

August is going to be full of fun and interesting activities in the Square. Whether you're a history buff, musical theater fan, or just looking for a night out to enjoy some wonderful live music, you'll find something to enjoy this month!

As part of their On Doing History presentation series, the Marietta History Center is inviting historians, archivists, preservationists, and more to present their work and answer questions. This series is the perfect opportunity for those working in the history field or anyone interested in local history to learn from experts. This month, on August 13th at 2 pm, they will have the Marietta History Center Collections Manager and resident historian of the Marietta City Cemetery, Christa McCay, to present her preservation work, methods, and research. Come learn about Marietta's history and make sure to keep an eye out for the next On Doing History presentation!

With the concert being in Glover Park, there are plenty of options for dinner in the Square before the concert (and dessert after)! The concert is free and open to the public, but if you're looking to reserve a front-row table you can visit the Marietta website by clicking right here!
